Townhouse or older unit in Brisbane's inner north?

Similar prices: a new townhouse like these, or a 1970s two bedroom unit in a small block with more land per unit. Growth or yield, which would you take?

Small older blocks have a bigger share of land. That usually wins over time. Check the body corporate's sinking fund.

New townhouses carry more depreciation, which helps cash flow early. But there's often a lot of similar stock nearby.

I'd check how many similar townhouses are approved in the area. Supply caps growth.

Good points. Getting the body corporate records for the unit this week.
